Description
Missing the original telescope, the slit apparatus for the collimator and the prism table. That telescope you see in the pictures is just a scope that has the same black crinkle paint and is there for show. You can have it anyway. All the screws and knobs turn freely. The divided table is a little tight in spots but still turns well. This model Spencer spectrometer looked pretty much the same after 1929, when they added the leveling screws for the scope and collimator, and well into the 1950s. This one is probably from after 1945, with the American Optical badge instead of the Spencer Lens Company badge. Weighs 11-1/2 pounds.
