Vintage 1925 PAN AMERICAN (Conn) Brass Alto Sax w/Nice ProTec Gig Bag. Sax Serial # P23989.
This vintage alto has been cleaned and *adjusted, and plays very good from top to bottom with a smooth, clean tone on the included standard vintage mouthpiece (no brand). Pads, felts, and corking have been replaced where needed with the existing pads in good to very good condition. Spring action is also very good. Cosmetically, there are no major dents, some mild dings, mild scuffing from normal use, and some lacquer wear (especially on the neck's octave key - pic #6). A beautiful 20's Pan American alto. (Note: Most 20's horns were not lacquered when manufactured, so I do not know when this one was lacquered.) The ProTec case is in almost new condition with only the handles showing some wear. Included with the case are a new red microfiber polishing cloth, a neckstrap, a black plastic end plug, a soft black pouch for the neck & mouthpiece, and the standard vintage mouthpiece w/ligature, cap, and new Rico Plasticover reed.
