    This is an authentic Very Rare & Valuable British Wallace Patent Entrenching Tool & Spade Dated 1886. This item is a very nice piece for any military memorabilia collector, as it is a very rare item that you will not see every day. These shovels were put into production in the late 1800s and saw use in the British Army during the 2nd Boer War in Africa. This item is in great shape considering it’s age, as its only main defects are some splitting in the wood handle which can be seen in pictures, and some minor dings scratches on the wood and blade of the shovel. There are very minor spots surface rust on the shovel but it can easily be cleaned up and it has not caused any actual damage to the shovel. This item is a great piece for any collectors of military memorabilia and collectors of historical tools as well.
