This is an original and superb pair of staffordshire lustre & white seated spaniel dogs with the separate front legs of which:
during our research: we have been informed they certainly date from the 19th century:
date about c1880s.
A left and right.
A pair of
Staffordshire copper lustre & white seated spaniel dogs with:
each having the separate front legs.
wonderful facial decoration including the pointed noses.
wonderful overall portrayals.
copper lustre & white colouring with:
each having the copper lustre collar & locket.
Pottery.
Each has an overall height of about 8inches.
Hollowed base with an o
verall size underneath of about 5.5 x 4i
nches.
Condition: Considering the age: the overall condition is:
excellent and both are not subject to any major blemishes except:
one has a hole underneath the base of which is from time of manufacture.(kiln issue)

Besides being a very collectable, pair of 19th century Staffordshire, seated copper lustre & white seated spaniel dogs with the separate front legs, wonderful facial decoration, superb overall portrayals, c1880s, both would also look fabulous displayed.
