Great piece of military history. These oil bottles are metal and were made by the Soviets for use with Mosin-Nagant and captured Mauser K98 rifles. These were stored
covered in Military oil/grease then
wrapped
in wax paper sleeves as they were when packed away years ago.
I have done 1/2 the work getting them cleaned up out of the paper that gets stuck to them
because
of the grease, I left grease on them for you to clean the grease off/ or for long term storage.
