Superb 19th C. Yelloware Mochaware Blue Seaweed
Decorated Pepper Pot. AAFA
Offered today is a Wonderful Antique 19th century
Mochaware Pepper Pot with seaweed decoration
Dating 1830-60, of English manufacture.
The mustard colored background for the blue seaweed decoration.
The bulbous body with wide whit band of slip is decorated
with 4 seaweed fan decorations.
The decoration is rich, graphic, and well spaced around the entire body. Blue banded collar and three black bands encircle the body.
Condition is outstanding with only a few tiny minute
fleabites to the top holes.
That's it! Typical manufacturing flaws.
Age appropriate crazing to the pearlware glaze.
Size: 4-1/8" high x 2-1/4" diameter body.
No repairs or restorations.
