This is the first known voluntary, local (non-legal tender) currency to be made of a spendable, beautiful, physical Gold. Why Goldbacks? Because using gold for smaller transactions would be difficult and Goldbacks help bridge the gap to give you 1/100th oz of real .999 fine gold pressed into a thin sheet between two layers of durable polyester.
