    Description

    Tom and Jerry is a traditional Christmas cocktail, a variant of eggnog, with liquor added. Offered is a circa 1893, 12 1/2" wide x 6 1/2" tall punch bowl in excellent condition, having no chips, cracks or repairs. Please enlarge the photos for a closer look, noting the beautiful transfer design. In the 6th photo, you can see 3 stilt marks inside the bowl, as the Furnivals company stacked something inside the punch bowl when firing. The next photo shows a scratch on the inside wall, shown and mentioned for accuracy. There is also some superficial use scratches inside the bowl. Included in the underside marks are: impressed Furnival mark; impressed anchor and dagger mark; the English registry number 215363, which dates the bowl to 1893 and an ink stamped V, which is probably an inspector's mark. The punch bowl is heavy, weighing 7 lbs. 4.3 oz. before packaging. I am offering this fine, scarce bowl at no reserve, with a very reasonable opening bid. The shipping price includes insurance.
