    Description

Very scarce antique Master butter dish or sometimes called a pancake server.  This was made by P.W. Walker.  The pattern is "Venus" circa 1834-1859. This is a hard to find item.  Many dinner sets had plates, covered vegetables, and teasets had cups and saucers. I believe butter dishes were an extra that families ordered. ( one reason for their scarcity).
The base on this dish is in great condition. No damage other than kiln marks made in the firing process. It measures 10 3/4inches across and 2 1/2inches deep.
The lid has some damages. It measures 5inches to the top of the finial and 8 3/4inches in diameter. There is a large chip under the edge where it sits. ( one and 1/2inches in length).  There is a hairline ( please see photos.)  approximately 5 inches in length and a smaller lighter one and 1/2 inches in length. The damages are mostly hidden when the lid is on.The one hairline does show. ( please see photos).  They are a part of the description. It displays beautifully and if you collect this antique staffordshire, you may look a long time before finding another.
Shipping/Ins. is extra.  Please wait for my invoice before paying so I can package and weigh the item to get a more accurate cost.
Shipping WEST of the Mississippi is always more expensive. No international shipping at this time.  Thank you for looking.
