    Description

    Antique Masons Hicks, Meigh & Johnson Covered Dish  --
    c.1830  ALMOST 200 YEARS OLD
    (In 1835 the Hicks Partnership was dissolved and the factory and its contents were put up for auction.  It was purchased by Ridgway, Morley & Wear)
    This is Georgian era, Chinoiserie Design - Made in Staffordshire England

    The print is described as "
    Hicks Rock and Bird

    Blue on biscuit - Lustre Edge"
    Approximate Measurements:  Dish is 11" x 10" x 2.5" Tall -- Height with lid 6.5" Weighs 3 lbs!!
    Any damage is wear and minor flaws typical of pottery and china of this age (circa early 19th Century)

    ESPECIALLY NOTE:
    - 3rd to last picture shows a chip on the pedestal of the dish (blue tape marker)
    - 2nd to last picture indicates 3 chips on underside of dish  (blue tape markers)
    - Last picture shows that those same chips cannot be seen from the top of dish (blue tape markers)
    - Minor surface scratches on the inside base of the dish, and design fade in areas
